Crafted by our National Grade Craftsman Master Zheng Zhi Jie – https://baike.baidu.com/…/%E9%83%91%E5%BF%97…/24353692, this divine stroke of art depicts benevolent Goddess of Mercy perched on a Dragon with carrying her Sacred Bottle in her hand.

The dragon traditionally symbolizes potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, typhoons, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it.

In this manifestation, Goddess of Mercy is in a relaxed posture with her palm signifying that this mythical creature has already been subdued for causing havoc in the South China Sea. The Dragon is considered an auspicious creature as it brings wealth and protect the household from harm.

Master Zheng had used Clear Knife Crafting 清刀工艺 to bring life into this masterpiece, and cut wood carvings are not sanded at all, but are left on the surface of the wood as a result of the carving of the carving knife, leaving all the traces hand-crafted by the craftsman seen.

This masterpiece is around 60cm tall, 31cm wide, 20cm in depth weighs around 3.36kg.
