Agarwood is regarded as the most valuable wood on the planet. Agarwood, also known as Gaharu, is a resinous heartwood found in trees belonging to the Thymelaeceae family’s genus Aquilaria. Aquilaria is a fast-growing subtropical forest tree endemic to the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in South Asia, as well as the forests of the far east of South Asia and the rainforests of Papua New Guinea.
